What It Does

The CE30 erects flat corrugated blanks into square, ready-to-pack cases at rates up to 30 cases per minute. The machine is available as a tape sealer (CE30-T) or hot melt glue former (CE30-G), allowing flexibility in sealing method based on your production requirements.

Opening and Case Handling

Dual opposed vacuum forces grasp cases from both sides, ensuring consistent opening of the corrugated blank. Synchronized flight lugs protect case squareness as the case travels through the closing and sealing mechanism. This combination of vacuum and mechanical guiding keeps dimensional accuracy reliable across long production runs.

User Interface and Operation

All CE30 machines come standard with an Allen-Bradley OptixPanel 2800 color HMI. The interface provides graphical guided instructions, changeover maps, scales, pointers, and quick release handles. Changeovers are manual but supported by the HMI, with an estimated time of 8 minutes for a trained technician.

Compact Dimensions and Flexibility

The CE30 fits case sizes from 8" L x 5.5" W x 3" H up to 24" L x 16" W x 18.5" H, with extended case size ranges available on request. The compact footprint makes it suitable for facilities with space constraints while maintaining production speed.

Standard Advanced Features

Remote access capability, machine status lighting, and safety redundancy come standard on all CE30 models. Remote service access is included with every CE30 and offers the potential to reduce on-site service trips. Internet connectivity is available via direct Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or cellular methods.

Pneumatic Operation and Air Requirements

The CE30 uses reliable pneumatic operation on all major motions. Air consumption is 1.038 SCF per cycle for the glue version and 0.691 SCF per cycle for the tape version.

Electrical Specifications

Full Load Amp (FLA) for the glue version is 25.0 Amps; for the tape version, 5.0 Amps. Electrical enclosures can be equipped with low-temperature or high-temperature packages to maintain performance in cold, humid, or hot environments.

Optional Enhancements

Magazine extensions allow longer continuous operation between reloads, with horizontal and vertical options ranging from 2 feet to more than 16 feet depending on available floor space. A spare tape head allows quicker replacement by exchanging the entire head while the machine runs. Tankless glue systems pull hot melt adhesive in solid state form and heat it only when required, reducing char and waste. A hand pack station can be integrated for small-batch product runs. Portability packages with locking casters, jackscrew assemblies, and quick disconnects for air and electrical lines allow easy repositioning on the production floor.
